Did you know there are more than 50 populated places in the world named Paris? Inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s famous words about the French capital, Paris, cultural explorer Carla Knorowski is writing a memoir of her travels to cities, towns, villages and hamlets around the world named Paris. 

 

In A Moveable Feat: 89,471 Miles in Search of Paris, she introduces readers to various Parisians and the unique history and culture of their towns. She dines with locals and sample delicacies, from a tequila-like elixir in Paris, Panama to fried pickles in Paris, Texas.

 

In each Paris, the writer explores the town, learning its history and culture, visiting with its townspeople and actively engaging in the town’s activities, offering a message of peace and prosperity to all. Along the way, Carla visits the city which inspired it all, Paris, France, and reveal how the many Parises are inextricably linked to the “City of Light.”
